Day 1: Benicia to SFO

Its in the bag.  A very hot and flat day for us and a good chance to shake out the bugs in ourselves and our equipment.   Got up to 120.2 degrees in a couple of spots with an average well over 96 degrees.    Dipped wheels at the marina at Bob's house after a breakfast at his place..  massive cold pacific ocean crosswinds were tormenting us until we got to vacaville, but after some friendly advise from a local rider dude, all was well and we motored on to Winters, then Davis and on to West Sacramento.   Good mexican dinner at Chevys and a couple of margaritas..  tomorrows ride will be a taster for the elevation that is to come, but we are enjoying the night and the lovely support of Susan.. who single handedly moved all the stuff from the truck to all of our rooms and printed the wheel dipping photo from Benicia for all the boys..  nice.   Steve did some great photo work and took some pictures of everyone on the road.. including his arm.. which would have helped him improve his weak ass riding today..   just kidding..   good news about him is that you can't miss him.. yellow bumble bee shoes... nice.

time for bed..  until next time.... later.
